Jessie and Matt first met at a work study job during college in New Orleans. Their first few weeks together were spent trying to understand each other. Matt couldn’t understand Jess’ oh so slight Southern accent and Jess couldn’t understand Matt, the fast-talking city slicker.

Soon after, at Voodoo Music Festival, they had their first kiss right after witnessing another couple getting engaged a few feet away (foreshadowing).

On stage at that very same festival where it all began, Matt asked Jess to be his wife.
After ten years in the making we’re bringing it all back full circle on December 2, 2017.

We hope to see everyone in New Orleans to celebrate!

Tree of Life

The ceremony will begin at

at the Tree of Life.

The Tree of Life is located deep within Audubon park which is across from Loyola University where Jessie and Matt first met. With how large Audubon park is, the easiest way to arrive to the tree is via Tchoupitoulas Street which dead ends into East Drive at the park.

A fun fact about the tree: although the exact age is unknown, many believe the magnificent Oak tree to be somewhere between 100-500 years old due to its size.

Transportation

Transportation will be provided. Shuttles will depart the Ace Hotel and Old No. 77 Hotel promptly at 3:00pm for the ceremony. Shuttle service will be provided from the ceremony to the reception, and then back to the Ace Hotel and Old No. 77 Hotel at the end of the night (Unless you want to get dropped off at the afterparty Upstairs at The Republic). There will also be optional shuttle service during the reception for those wishing to leave the party early, which we hope you don’t!

We have set-up a group discount code at three different hotels depending on your budget and preference. The default dates for the group discount code are December 1st-3rd, however, feel free to book additional dates if you want to enjoy New Orleans for a few extra days.
